Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device must be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound should also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; hence, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it trickier to hear the audible device and to distinguish which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from employees and operators since they could find them irritating. Also, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass so as to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every specific application, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. In addition, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's maximum performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machinery in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the model and when this happens, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
