Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one person.
To be able to prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Machine should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet should be carefully stacked to be able to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be at the center in order to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is really not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop abruptly. Slowly come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
