Aisle Types
Wide Aisle and Narrow Aisle lift trucks are classed due to the kinds of aisles they have been designed to work in. These equipments are able to turn in an aisle, whereas Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn in the aisle. There are several aisle widths to take into consideration with various units.
Very Narrow Aisle trucks could work in less than 6 feet places, while some would utilize particular guidance systems such as rail, wire or optical systems in order to travel in the aisles. Some various models of VNA trucks consist of Turret Trucks, Swing Masts and Order Selectors. These are common models in compact retail spaces and in several storage and warehouse situations.
NA or Narrow Aisle trucks are able to work within aisles which are 8 feet to 10 feet. Normally these are stand-up models like Reach Trucks. They are commonly used in warehouses and storage facilities.
Wide Aisle Standard forklifts fall into this truck category and are designed to work in aisles that are more than 11 feet wide.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard that is designed to lessen operator exhaustion by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is spacious and has an 8" low step height that helps reduce overall body exhaustion by easing frequent entry and exit. The model consists of polyurethane steer tires to absorb vibration and shocks caused by uneven floor in order to allow smooth traveling. For added comfort, there is a floor mat and a cushioned armrest as well as a backrest designed to help keep drivers comfortable and thus more productive while limiting fatigue.
