The Carriage
Similar to standard lift trucks, the lifting attachment is able t be tilted from its horizontal position to backwards and forwards. The actual possible amount of tilt completely exceeds that of vertical mast forklifts. There is a large range of lifting attachments available, and this ability to position makes them as efficient as possible.
Most telehandlers could tilt forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! Additionally, a lot of units provide rotating carriages too. This allows the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being capable of being tilted forwards and backwards, as well as side to side.
Load Capacity
Knowing a telehandler's load capacity is a a lot different exercise than it is on a vertical mast unit. The capacity of the model is totally dependent on such things as: boom angle and extension, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. What's more, which lifting attachment plays a really main role, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics could be changing constantly and this gives the operator a lot more information to take into account.
Telehandlers would often have several different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they can use to determine a particular lift's load capacity. Depending on the unit in particular and the boom's configuration, the load capacity may differ by thousands of pounds all together.
